Create a Three Dimensional Rendering of the CD Cover

Step 1.
Create a new file 400 x 400, res 72, contents
white, RGB.
Step
2 – Create reference cube from 3D Transform Tool Filter or use reference 3D
Cube photo. To begin let’s create a reference cube shape by using the 3D
Transform Filter. With your Background Layer active, go Filter > Render >
3D Transform:
1. Select the Cube Tool (M) and click-and-drag to draw a cube in the (white)
canvas pane.
2. Then activate the Selection Tool (V) and drag the cube up into the gray area
until it is out of view.
3. Then activate the Pan Camera Tool (E) and drag the cube back into view.
4. Then activate the Trackball Tool (R) and click-and-drag to rotate so that
the cube shows more of the sides than the top, as I have captured. Then click
OK to commit the 3D Transform Tool.

Step 3:
In
your CD Cover file (front) , merge layers into one layer by control/Alt/Shift
+ E, Drag this layer to the new
document. Use the transform tools to resize the image to fit onto the right
side of the cube. Complete the same for
the left side of the cube. Leave a 1/8 “ space between the two sides to create
the spine of the CD. Add the title of
the Cd to his area.
Use the magic wand to delete the top of the box. You should now have a three dimensional CD Cover. Print with your name on it and hand in.
